Top 5 Travel and Local Apps Performance in Ukraine, Q3 2022

In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 travel and local apps in Ukraine displayed a range of performance metrics on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uklon - More Than a Taxi maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 22K and 35K, peaking at 34.8K in the week of August 8. Active users saw a slight decline from 236K to 225K by the end of September, with a notable high of 242.7K in the week of August 29.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a stable performance in weekly downloads, averaging around 14K to 18K. The highest downloads were recorded in the week of July 25 at 18.2K. Active users remained steady, hovering around 145K to 153K throughout the quarter.

Taxi 838 experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 14.1K and ending the quarter at 11.5K. Active user numbers were relatively stable, ranging from 58K to 63K, with a peak of 63.3K in the week of August 1.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 13.8K and dropping to 11.4K by the end of September. Active users also decreased from 207K to 153K over the quarter, with a noticeable dip to 158.5K in the week of September 19.

Ukrainian Railways, a newer entrant, showed a significant initial interest with downloads peaking at 57.9K in the week of August 15. Active users hit a high of 70.7K in the same week but gradually declined to 53.5K by the end of September.
